Irina KUTSCHMIJ
No 517
Gemeinschaftslager für Ostarbeiter
Kaiserslautern, am Hohenecker Weg

recipient:
Jakiw [„unclear“ last name, looks like Baurtchak ?]
village: I entered „Ptschelnaya“ (?), Teplyk

There are 2 places in Hanna’s list that (to me) look kind of similar:
Теплицький район - Teplyzkyj rajon - с . Бджільня - s. Bdschilnja
Теплицький район - Teplyzkyj rajon - с. Бджільна - s. Bdschilna
[Could these places be identical..?..]

I think this is her in the Arolsen archives :
Jarina KUTSCHMIJ, born in „Schdilna“ on 18.05.1927

→ number 517 in this list (matches No 517 in her address)
→ number 517 in this list of Guß- und Armaturwerkes Kaiserslautern

with No 558 in the same list:
[Udarka?] SASTUBEZ -
(with more info about the camp and the „employer“)

same „employer“: Wasil ZADNIPRANEZ (?)

I only found с. Бджільна - s. Bdschilna (in this overview - history of places in Oblast Winnyzja - p.550 document).

Would agree that „Ptschelnaya“ is actually „Bdschilna„
For me it looks like an attempt to „russify“ the name. My guess is: the core of the name of the village came from bee so it would be:

  • in ukrainian: бджола - bdschola
  • in russian: пчела - ptschela

if this is an attempt to write the family name of the recipient, i will go with Paurtschak

Паур…in cyrillic - but this is a wild guess
