Hallo routebleue, das kann ich gut verstehen - aber in dem Punkt brauchst du dir keine Befürchtungen zu machen. Für die Challenges wählen wir bewusst Dokumente aus, die leichter lesbar sind bzw. die weniger Attribute aufweisen, sodass auch neue Freiwillige gut damit zurecht kommen. Die ‘schwierigeren’ Arbeitspakete werden jedoch keinesfalls wegfallen, da eben noch enorm viele komplexere Dokumente im Archiv lagern, die alle früher oder später indiziert werden sollen. In den nächsten zwei Wochen wird auch unsere neue Startseite gelauncht: Dort werdet ihr die Arbeitspakete nach Komplexitätsgrad auswählen können (leicht - mittel - schwer). Durch dieses neue Feature können wir sowohl einfachere als auch schwierigere Dokumente online stellen und man kann sich besser orientieren, an welchem Set man arbeiten möchte.
Bei dem Halle-Arbeitspaket haben wir in Absprache mit dem Stadtarchiv die Zu- und Fortzüge herausgenommen, da sich insbesondere die Hallenser aufgrund der Schwierigkeit nicht mehr beteiligen wollten. Allen Bedürfnissen zu entsprechen, ist da nicht immer einfach. Aber genau deshalb haben wir jetzt dieses neue Feature entwickelt. Arbeitspakete wie die Ukraine-Postkarten werden unverändert ausgespielt.

Hello routebleue, I understand that completely – but you don’t need to worry about that. For the challenges, we deliberately select documents that are easier to read or have fewer attributes, so that even new volunteers can handle them well. However, the “more difficult” work packages will not be eliminated, as there are still a huge number of more complex documents in the archive that will all need to be indexed sooner or later. Our new homepage will also be launched in the next two weeks: there you will be able to select work packages according to their degree of complexity ( beginner - intermediate - advanced ). This new feature will allow us to put both easier and more difficult documents online, making it easier for you to decide which set you would like to work on.
In consultation with the city archives of Halle, we have removed the in-migrations and out-migrations from the Halle work package, as the people of Halle in particular no longer wanted to participate due to the difficulty. It is not always easy to meet everyone’s needs. But that is precisely why we have now developed this new feature. Work packages such as the Ukraine postcards will remain unchanged.
