Die DP3-Karten fand ich anfangs auch sehr irritierend. DP bedeutet „Displaced Persons“ - das sind Personen, die NACH Kriegsende nicht in ihrem Heimatland waren. Z.B. jüdische Personen die aus Deutschland verschleppt wurden (in die KZ), polnische Zwangsarbeiter die nach Deutschland verschleppt wurden oder französische Kriegsgefangene etc. (ein paar Beispiele, natürlich nicht umfänglich).
Diese Personen, zB. wollten vielleicht auch nicht mehr zurück in ihre Heimat (zb. jüdische Personen die nach USA auswandern wollten statt „zurück nach Deutschland“) oder ähnliches. Es hat lange gedauert bis diese Personen „versorgt waren“. Für die Auswanderung wurden dann zb auch nach 1945 geborene Kinder mit erfasst, die mit ihren Eltern dann zb in die USA ausgereist sind.
