doubts admitting office
I entered „R.“ (maybe K.?)
Einweisungsbehörde/admitting office seems to have been „Stapo Würzburg“
(according to his other Arolsen documents)
Leon WEWIOROWSKI
According to ushmm he was liberated in Dachau.
Hi Routebleu,
could R stand for Ravensbrück?
Have a nice weekend, U.
That’s what I thought too, but so far I have found no evidence of an imprisonment in Ravensbrück.
On 16.04.1940 he was arrested in Würzburg, on 01.06.1940 admitted to Dachau (with Einweisungstelle/admitting office given as „Stapo Würzburg“). Arolsen also shows several documents kept at the Würzburg Kripo/police department, saying he stayed there in 1940.
But who knows? maybe he spent a part of this time in between Würzburg and Dachau in Ravensbrück indeed…
Anyway, thanks for checking this + a good weekend to you too!
