death symbol, but no details given

This prisoner’s death can’t be recorded in this workflow, as neither the place nor the date of his death is noted down in the card, there is only the death symbol.
So far I have entered „unclear“ in these fields (pod and dod), because if we leave them blank the prisoners’ fates might remain obscure or one might think that they survived.
Maybe it is possible to change the corresponding field/drop down menu/explanations in the help text?

Fioravanti TASSI, son of Annibale and Cortesi Lucia, born in Bomporto di Modena on 6 July 1894, resident in salita di Balaclava 9/6, belonging to the 294th Garibaldi Brigade S.A.P. “Amedeo Lattanzi”, was arrested for political reasons on 30/10/1944 by the Genoa Police Headquarters, and handed over to the SS who deported him to Mauthausen, he was subsequently transferred to Gusen where he died on 19/02/1945 (translated from source)

There have been many of these same that I have seen. There is a 1944 date at the bottom right hand corner. But nothing ties that to the death. The most mix up in dates are cards with two date type markings and a death rune. Which one is the correct date to choose in this workflow ?
