in some of his other arolsen documents „Werchowzewo“ is given as his place of residence, and „Mariowka - Marjewka/Dnipropetrowsk, - Mirjewko“ is noted as his place of birth. (example here)
There seem to be various similar places in oblast Dnipropetrovsk (for example see these lists here or here)
Werchowzewo maybe refers to Verkhivtseve/Верхівцеве ( geonames 689808 – wikidata Q995147)

Name: Василій or (Василь) Орел
He is writing Марвка (Marwka), but i would agree with you, its probably Marjiwka (ukrainisch Мар’ївка).
Not sure if he is mixing languages here with his name Василій - could be ukrainian or the old pre-revolution way to write an „и„ as an „i“ in russian
