Herbert Kosterlitz est né le 17/05/1896 à Breslau (Pologne). Il est marié avec Rosalie Kosterlitz. Ils ont une fille, Eva, née en 1934. Ils sont internés au camp de Saint-Sulpice-la-Pointe (Tarn, France) puis déportés par le convoi 30 parti du camp de Drancy (Seine-Saint-Denis) le 09/09/1942 à destination du camp d’Auschwitz-Birkenau (Pologne).
