Michel Leon-Kindberg was born on 13 December 1883 in Bayonne (Pyrénées-Atlantiques, France). He was married to Marie Anne, née Weil. A former intern at the Paris Hospitals (class of 1908), he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Paris (France) in 1913. His thesis was entitled <<< Work of Dr E. Rist’s ward and laboratory at Laënnec Hospital >>. He was a doctor at the Paris hospitals, specialising in pulmonology. His last known address was 2 Avenue du Parc Bonnefay in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne). The Leon-Kindberg couple were interned on 27 December 1943 at the Drancy camp (Seine-Saint-Denis) after being transferred from Toulouse. They were both deported on Convoy 66, which left the Drancy camp on 20 January 1944 bound for the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp (Poland). Michel Leon-Kindberg was transferred to Buchenwald camp (Germany). He returned from deportation. He died on 8 May 1945 in Paris (France).
