Discussion Question

place of birth

doubts place of birth:
I entered „Kuniz (może Chojnice)“. Maybe it refers to (former) „Konitz“ (today Chojnice, Pomeranian Voivodeship), or it’s a misinterpretation of „Kunin“? which is mentioned as POR in his Arolsen documents, in one of them corrected to „Plock“.

Most sources say he was born in „Maszewo“.
(There are several places in Poland, maybe Maszewo in Płock County, near his residence, geonames 3092198)

Eugeniusz SZELĄGOWSKI
He was a teacher in Plock, arrested on April 5, 1940 as part of an action against the Polish intelligentsia; imprisoned in the transit camp in Działdowo (Durchgangslager Soldau), then transferred to KL Dachau on April 18, 1940.
He died in Hartheim on 01.05.1942
