while volunteering for Every Name Counts, I transcribed an index card for Gelline Kukenheim, born 02/11/1888, from the collection “Index cards created by the Security Service of the Security Police in Belgium”.
The card refers to convoy C. III, number 568.
During additional research, I came across an external archival source that appears to refer to the same person and includes a photograph and some biographical details (occupation listed as housewife, and possible family information). The name, date of birth, convoy and number correspond.
I am not adding any external information to the transcription, but I wanted to flag this in case it may be useful for verification or further archival work.
It’s great that you’re helping out here at ENC. And thank you for your extra effort. You may have noticed that some people here do additional background research (e.g., user Velthove). I don’t know to what extent this is then linked in the archives, but Velthove often links to further information. He/she once explained to me that this was probably used accordingly on the old Arolsen platform.
In principle, you can of course link to sources you find. In other words, you upload the document via Share Document, and then you can reply to it yourself and link to the information.
If you have any questions, the community and Arolsen Archives are very helpful.
