Egon JIŘÍČEK* (*04.08.1904 - ? )
He belonged to a group of defendants who „[…] collaborated to cover Jews and/or communists—therefore, they were found guilty of supporting enemies of the Reich.“
He was among those who were sentenced to death.
(source and more details: Anklageschrift / indictment, March 1945)
Miloš HÁJEK (*12. 05.1921, Dětenice near Jičín) was one of these death row inmates.
In the chaos of the war’s end in May 1945, he escaped execution.
He became a historian and a writer.
He also wrote a very personal report about these last weeks in prison.
Egon Jiříček is mentioned there too. (But I’m not sure if he also survived.)
