Joseph Cogan (born 1 January 1903, Kishinev, Russia, now Moldavia-1944, Auschwitz) was the accountant-bursar at the Broût-Vernet Children’s Home in Broût-Vernet (Allier) during the Second World War. He was arrested on 2 November 1943 and deported with his two children on Convoy No. 64, dated 7 December 1943, from Drancy to Auschwitz, where the two children were murdered on arrival, and their father seven months later.
