Maximilien Samuel est né le 18/08/1880 à Frechen (Allemagne). Il est médecin, gynécologue-obstétricien. En 1938, il émigre de Cologne (Allemagne) à Uccle (Belgique) avec sa femme Hedwig née Marcks, et leur fille Liselotte. En 1942, tous les trois fuient en France mais sont raflés près de la frontière suisse puis internés à Belfort. Ils sont déportés par le convoi 26 parti du camp de Drancy (Seine-Saint-Denis) le 31/08/1942 à destination du camp d’Auschwitz (Pologne). Aucun n’est revenu de déportation.
