„Your“ Zoltan Perl was murdered in the Shoah; „ours“ survived (the 7/45 on the card indicates that he was alive in July 1945)
According to me this is the correct Zoltan Perl:
I´m not really sure, Mme, as the files I cited state his DOD July 13th. I found the data match name and Wels hospital convincing … I was not able to find a reliable source as for his DOD elsewhere …
What bothers me is the mention „murdered“ on Yad Vashem. Did they murder Zoltan Perl in the hospital?
I suppose he survived his hospital stay…(at least I hope so!)
Probably they used the term „murdered“ for describing the consequences of his imprisonment? Many inmates died short after the war´s end in DP camps or hospitals, I had many such cards of French inmates in the old ENC.
