Are you sure that Robert obtained Dutch nationality, @carola.b ?

Why should I doubt his file from the Stadsarchief Amsterdam, a primary source, and a most reliable one at that!

The text you quote relates to the current legal situation. In the 1930s, on the basis of a different (teleological) interpretation, the implementing provisions of the law on Dutch nationality may have taken on a different form, on the basis of which Dutch citizenship, under certain circumstances, was granted to foreign residents of the Netherlands. In order to determine this, the parliamentary history of the relevant Act and possible changes to the Act on Dutch citizenship must be consulted.

To make things more complicated: In the eyes of the Third Reich the members of the Wreschner family would have been stateless, pursuant to the 11. Verordnung zum Reichsbürgergesetz vom 25. November 1941 ( § 2. Ein Jude verliert die deutsche Staatsangehörigkeit
a) wenn er beim Inkrafttreten dieser Verordnung seinen gewöhnlichen Aufenthalt im Ausland hat, mit dem Inkrafttreten der Verordnung)

See: Elfte Verordnung zum Reichsbürgergesetz (1941)
