Dmitry (aka Dmitro) CHERNEZKY
A stateless (USSR?) teenager, previously recorded under Nansen status.
b. 10.08.1930 in Kazanka, Russia (or -1929, depending on sources)

The son of Dmitry (b. 06.08.1904, Kazanka) and Pelageia née MASHTALAR (b. 08.10.1902, Kazanka)
The brother of Ivan (b. 10.04.1924, Kazanka), Vladimir (b. 15.10.1932, Kazanka), Ludmila (b. 07.04.1938 in Borsuk, Poland) and Melania (b. 25.05.1940 in Borsuk, Poland).
The whole family emigrated to Canada in March 1949 onboard ship SAMARIA.

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Dmytro Chernezky on April 6, 2021 at the age of 91 years. Dmytro will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 64 years, Jean; children, Bill (Grace) Chernezky, Greg (Rosanne) Chernezky, Kathy (Father Patrick) Yamniuk, and John (Wendy) Chernezky, and nine grandchildren, Sacha (Fahreen) Chernezky, Kristena Chernezky, Tanya (Philip) Schuman, David and Luke Chernezky, Paula and Maria Yamniuk, Maksym and Nicholas Chernezky.
Dmytro was born in Kazanka, Mykolaiv oblast, Ukraine and came to Canada in 1949. He settled in Southern Alberta and worked on the Canadian Pacific Railway, followed by 32 years with the City of Lethbridge.
Predeceased by his parents, Dmytro and Pelagea Chernezky; brothers, John, Walter, Nick and sister, Lillian Arctander. Survived by sister, Emily Jones
