Survived in hiding (?) Max and his brother Benno were in hiding in Wassenaar. In the summer of 1943 the Germand rated the house, the two brothers fled into a meadow behind the house. When Max went beck to the house to see if it was safe he walked right into a trap because the Germans were still there, waiting. Benno witnessed the arrest of his brother.
