Veranlasst durch die SA, musste Chaim Bleiweiss im Jahr 1937 als einer von drei weiteren jüdischen Geschäftsleuten ein Schild durch die Straßen Leipzigs tragen, das die Aufschrift „Kauft nicht bei Juden, kauft in deutschen Geschäften“ trug. Noch im selben Jahr floh die Familie nach Italien. Zwei Jahre später, im Jahr 1939, setzten sie ihre Flucht nach Nizza in Frankreich fort. (…)
