Ich nehme an, das große C steht für „cancelled“ und die Passage fand nicht mit der „Gen. Taylor“ statt, sondern mit der MS „Nelly“:

vielen Dank für den Hinweis. Den Stempel sehe ich auch in der Form zum ersten Mal. Vielleicht finden wir für das C noch heraus, ob es sich wirklich um „cancelled“ handelt. Es ist aber anzunehmen.
Wir sind für jeden Hinweis und die Mithilfe zu Vervollständigung sehr dankbar.

Die Reisen nach Australien fanden 1952 statt, die Nelly hat aber am 28.Mai 1951 mit Emigranten aus Europa an Pier 21 in Halifax angelegt, das könnte passen:

„C“ stamp, maybe indicates destination (country) ?
C = Canada / US = USA / NZ = New Zealand / A = Australia
I found the C stamp only on cards with destination Canada.
Year of departure in all (my) cards: 1951 (only one with 1950)

In Julius Edor’s card the entry in destination „USA“ is covered by a C – stamp, most likely a correction. According to his Arolsen documents he emigrated to Canada. (also see source, where Halifax, CAN is mentioned as destination port of the „Blatchford“ in August 1951
