Discussion Question

Typewriter is unclear - last name could have “e” or “o”. Should I put both names? or best guess?

It depends on how sure you are!
I would enter „Jankiewicz“ (my first guess) – probably after cross checking this in his other Arolsen online documents.
https://collections.arolsen-archives.org/en/search?s=Jankiewicz%20pawel%201905
But we volunteers are not expected to do this. So entering „unclear“ is absolutely okay!

You wouldn’t enter 2 last names here. (Only if there are two names in the card, e.g. a name crossed out and corrected afterwards.) Also see these examples. You can find them and more explanations after a click on [? / Help] below every field.

[edit, to clarify/correct my post]
Double family names are entered in one field, with a hyphen (-) in between.
Two given names are entered seperately (with the second in the (+) field)

Kind regards!
