Bernhard FLEISCHER, born on February 5, 1879 in Göppingen, had been a lawyer in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt since 1907.
Retiring from the legal profession in 1937, he became almost blind in the following years due to a serious eye problem. A non-Jewish woman on whose care he was dependent was arrested in 1942 and taken to the Ravensbrück women’s concentration camp because she had led the Jew Fleischer across the street.
He himself, who had already been imprisoned during the November 1936 campaign, was arrested again on May 18, 1942.
He died in Buchenwald on September 17, 1942
