According to her DP2 card Helli VETTERSTRAND was born in Aavajärvi [Långkärr ?] , Sweden.
Maybe near here?- only about 20 km west of the Finnish border → map
Her family could have resided in Jaakkima (today in Karelia, Russia) and maybe considered themselves „Finnish“.

OK. I tried to read the text on the bottom of her card, but no luck. She is, based on todays maps Swedish, which explains her card. As I am born in 1962, I have to base my information in history books and they say Finns had to choose sides in the war. (as we did not want to be Russians we chose Germans, with the known results. 
Tried some Scandinavian languages for the text on the bottom of her card and Danish makes sense ! „Travelled from here under Swedish XXXX with XXXXX. The there are calculations in Krowns.“
