Paul Herman COHEN DE BOER lived in The Hague. He was a student and journalist and belonged to the Landelijke Organisatie voor Hulp aan Onderduikers (LO)/Leidschendam-Den Haag (national organization to aid people in hiding/Leidschendam-The Hague chapter). He helped people in hiding and was active in raids to help them. His brother Robert Hans Cohen de Boer tried unsuccessfully to escape to England. Paul Herman Cohen de Boer was identified as Jewish and betrayed during his activities. On 22 June 1944 he was arrested on the Kettingstraat in The Hague and deported to Buchenwald via the Scheveningen prison and Westerbork. (joodsmonument.about-paul-herman-cohen-de-boer)
