Two new names of those who „died for France“ have just been added to the Voves and church war memorials. They were engraved shortly before 8 May, the day commemorating victory in the Second World War.
Both personalities died in captivity. The first is Lucien Papon, who was born in Voves in 1926 and died in Bergen Belsen (Germany) on 9 May 1945. The second is Claire Pellet-Collet, born 20 September 1889 in Voves, a member of the Resistance who was arrested in 1944 and died in Ravensbruck concentration camp on 31 December 1944.
