Georges Moustie (1899-1944) - Find a Grave Memorial

@velthove1 Could you please explain me how Georges Moustie was executed in Breendonk (according to your first two and last links) and at the same time entered Buchenwald in May 1944 and died there in July 1944?

There must be two of them and I think you mixed them up.

See:

http://www.getuigen.be/Lijsten/

These 2 Georges Moustie may be the same person because.:

  1. There is no person of this name on „Memoire des Hommes“
  2. No birth was registered in Saintes France in 1899 of a person called „Moustie“

According to these Buchenwald documents (i.e. primary sources!) the Georges Moustie on the Buchenwald Kartei card died on 22.07.1944 (or 21.07.1944) in Buchenwald and could therefore not be executed in Breendonk at the same time

Moreover he was born in Saintes (Belgium) and not in Tubize (POB of the executed Moustie)

You fail to convince me @velthove1:
Moustie was not born in Saintes (France), but in Saintes (Belgium). No wonder you couldn’t find any Moustie in Saintes (France) or on Memoires des Hommes since he was born in Saintes (Belgium) and never lived in France!

The detail of the map shows that Saintes and Tubize are two distinct towns.
It might well be that the executed Moustie, being born in nearby Tubize, was related to the Moustie from Saintes who died in Buchenwald. But logically he cannot be the same person as the one who died in Buchenwald.
One cannot die in Buchenwald and also be executed in Breendonk, at least in my humble opinion…

The 2 Georges are one and the same person.

He was not executed in Breendonk, but transfered from Breendonk to Buchenwald on may 8 1944.

This means that the first two and links of your first comment contain incorrect information. I always knew that something was wrong and not logic at all.

This makes much more sense!!

Thank you for all the efforts.
