Just a very (!) vague idea (in case the note refers to something like „herv. ref.“?) :
Nederlandse Hervormde Kerk (Dutch Reformed Church)
Gereformeerde Bond in de Protestantse Kerk in Nederland (Reformed Association in the Protestant Church in the Netherlands, in 1906 emerged from the Dutch Reformed Church). In the article it is mentioned as a „hervormd-gereformeerde beweging“.

I think that makes sense. It’s probably actually „herv. rev.“ as spelling error for „herv. ref.“.
