He was arrested with his parents on 19.04.1944.
From 26.05.1944 detained in Auschwitz
From 02.06.1944 detained in Buchenwald as prisoner 56756

FAMILY

  • His mother Regina was detained in Auschwitz; no clue could be found regarding her fate.
  • His father Ignatz (b. 12.04.1901 in Majdanka) was detained in Auschwitz and then in Buchenwald as prisoner 56757, working notably in subcamp/commando Wille. He perished there on 01.02.1945.
  • His father’s parents Abraham and Mirl née SPIRA passed away in 1901 and 1941, respectively.
  • He also had 4 sibling, none of which could be identified.
  • His aunt (father’s sister) Regina was equally deported and murdered: https://collections.yadvashem.org/fr/names/664038 (testimony file by her daughter)
