Gerhard DUBOIS

This copy is a bit (!) easier to decipher.

His nationality was corrected from „French“ to „Belgian.“
Reason for departure here: „entlassen / released 4.9. 1944“ (instead of „Polizei übergeben / handed over to police 4.9. 1944“).
year of birth here: 1898 , day and month „unclear“ (? maybe Feb. 9)
(Doc. ID 11603064)

„residence / employer“:
Dortmund-Lindenhorst, Zivillager Russwerke
[most likely refers to „Deutsche Gasrußwerke (DGW)“ in Dortmund-Lindenhorst, founded in1936 as „Russwerke Dortmund“ - see below], also mentioned in this list of forced labour camps.

At the Auschwitz subcamp „Gleiwitz II“ prisoners were also forced to work for the company. [1] [2]

According to this list KG Deutsche Gasrußwerke contributed to the German industry’s foundation initiative for the compensation of forced laborers.
(However, this part of the company’s history seems to have been discreetly omitted from their website… gasruss.de)
