- **„esc.“** - escalier / Treppenhaus / staircase (found [here](https://talk.arolsen-archives.org/t/goldenberg-wolf-escaped/28457) and [here](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/flex013/uploads/arolsen_archives/optimized/3X/6/7/67b5e3d6c174800f9fef0da736ee241aa5af908e_2_438x748.jpeg)) thanks to @bsh1812

1. Here’s also the database of the French Mémorial de la Shoah, which (from my own experience, at least) is often a good start point for a specific search about people deported from Drancy:

2. If you have difficulty to decipher street names that you suspect to be located in Paris, the following website is helpful (search box, top right) to get suggestion as you write the first letters of the street. Plus, it provides you the history of the street (when it was named, how, etc) and brings details regarding „arrondissement“ and „quartier“ :

3. And if you’re eager to do a deeper search about someone or someone’s family into Parisian census data (1926, 1931, or 1936), you can visit this website from Parisian archives once you got the „arrondissement“ and „quartier“ data from previous website:
