‘In the latest issue of the Nieuwsblad there is an article about the forced labourers from Ameide during the war. I see many names listed, but miss my uncle’s name. So herewith a supplement. It concerns Jan Alblas. He was first supposed to go in October 1942, but that didn’t happen. Then he did go on 11 February 1943, to a factory in Kassel. He returned on 8 June 1945. Uncle Jan is still alive. He turned 91 on 28 January 2014 and lives in Nieuw-Lekkerland.
