Moewchen: your last link refers to a different person: Jean Erwin Bender (parents Benjamin and Helene Bender), who survived. The parents of “our” Erwin Bender are Denny Bender and Jenny Landmann and he did not survive

Reason for arrest: seit 1940 v. D = Seit 1940 aus Deutschland (Jews were not allowed to travel/emigrate freely under the Nazi rule)
Erwin Bender war seit 01.10.1932 in Mannheim gemeldet. Im Mai 1934 zog er nach Saarbrücken und emigrierte am 20.10.1937 nach Paris, Frankreich. Von dort kehrte er nach Deutschland zurück und kam nach München. Am 08.03.1940 meldete er sich ab; seit 19.08.1940 war er wieder in Mannheim gemeldet. Am 22.10.1940 wurde er mit anderen badischen und pfälzischen Juden nach Gurs deportiert.
Erwin Bender wurde am 30.07.1944 mit dem 81. Konvoi von Toulouse nach Buchenwald deportiert.
