Just an idea about his POB: There is a farm named „Unterschöllnach“ (according to geonames 2818746), also mentioned here as „Gemeindeteil von Hofkirchen“). It’s about 7 km north-west of Vilshofen. Until 1972 it was part of Landkreis Vilshofen, today it’s in Landkreis Passau.
His wife’s POR is „Pressather Wald 38 D“ (see here and here)
It seems it was a settlement /housing area in Weiden (Siedlung/Gartenstadt), founded about 1928, today a district of Weiden named „Weiden-West“. (source)

Fantastic, routebleue, I tried Unter-Schöllnach as stated on some of his cards but got no results, and I tried Unterschöllnach on geonames but with filter „city/village“ which provides nor results either.
